Lecture Title: Exploring 2.5 and 3D Integration to Meet the Bandwidth Density Challenge

Dr. Oded Raz received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical engineering from the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel in 1993 and his M.Sc. and PhD from the Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv Israel in 2002 and 2006 respectively. After working for two years as a post doc in electro optical communications group he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in 2009 and is since 2017 an associate professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Eindhoven. He is working on high speed optical transmission, integrated III-V optical circuits, optical interconnects and programmable photonic components. His other fields of interest include optical communications systems, microwave photonics and optical buffering. Dr. Raz has founded in 2013 PhotonX Networks, a TU/e spin-off company aiming to commercialized the packaging technology developed in his research group (www.photonxnetworks.com)
