Lecture Title: Chip-Scale Metrology: Coupling and Interfacing Atoms, Kerr Frequency-Combs and Cavities
Liron Stern received his B.Sc. in the physics, M.Sc. in the applied physics and a Ph.D in applied physics all in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 2008, 2011 and 2016 respectively. Since then he is a Rothschild post-doctoral fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) with the groups of John Kitching, Scott Diddams and Scott Papp. At NIST Liron is working on chip-scale frequency metrology, where he is interfacing micro-resonator frequency combs, high finesse cavities and diffractive optics with atomic micro-machined systems paving the way to next generation of atomic sensors and clocks.
